For the moon in Scorpio, I choose the 3 of Wands as our anchor card. This card reminds us that our magic is most powerful when worked together. The 3 of wands in the Moon Void Tarot 4th edition depicts a hand holding a wand, with two other wands also joining in to form a magic triangle. 

When I pull this card or work with this card as an anchor card, I am reminded to lean upon my community when working magic. Often, the things that we are working towards and the things that our community needs or is working towards are one and the same. 

This card also reminds us of the power of threes - why work with just the magic of one when you can triple that power? The Moon in Scorpio is a great time to get together with other witches and work together towards your shared manifestations. 

When the moon is in Scorpio, I spend a lot of time engaging in my magical practice - casting spells, getting together with other witches, pulling tarot cards, and just generally witching it! I find that this lunation is also often trine my natal moon placement, a generally supportive and magical aspect! Scorpio moons are often in my 8th house, so the Scorpio energy is doubled, as Scorpio rules the 8th house. 

And if you haven’t found your coven quite yet, here is a quick spell to help summon supportive and helpful witches! 

With a piece of paper and a pen, write down exactly how you imagine your idea coven. My paper would have something like this written on it: 

● Full of queer, intersectional, multi-faceted humans 

● Supportive of my ebbs and flows of energy 

● Push and challenge me in my practice - no room for complacency! 

● Open to the virtual circle as much as a physical one 

Write until you can’t think of anything more you’d like to manifest for this group! And be sure to write in the present tense, as though this circle already exists to support you now! 

Then fold up this piece of paper and put it somewhere significant - return to it and re-read what you wrote anytime the moon is in Scorpio. Notice, have more witches come into your life?
