What if the solution to imposter syndrome & content strategy or knowing what to focus on in your personal growth journey was as simple as getting better at astrology?
Specifically, understanding and working with the social planets—Jupiter & Saturn.
Once you see it, you can’t unsee it
Personal planets—the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are closest to the sun—they move faster, change signs more often and have the most influence over your personality, hence why they’re called personal planets. Your personal planetary placements by house, sign, degree and aspect will give you much insight into your needs, how you communicate, take in information, your values, what you’re attracted to, what others are attracted to in you, how you argue, take action and so much more!
These are all important things to know about yourself, but today we’re purely looking at the ways the social planets, Jupiter & Saturn influence social media content, course creation and what suddenly becomes the theme of personal growth and development year by year. This is helpful whether you see yourself as a creator or a consumer, I think we’re all a bit of both to varying degrees.
Social Planets Influence On Social Media
Moving further away from the sun we meet the two social planets—Jupiter and Saturn. These two planets have major significance when it comes to personal growth and development in an interconnected way. In my opinion wherever transit Jupiter and Saturn are in the sky give us insight into what types of courses and social media content will be most prominent and relevant for collective healing, spiritual growth and becoming the next level version of yourself. I’ll be taking you on a deep dive into my observations and how to work with these planets for an empowering relationship with social media and how you serve others through your content in this essay.
Jupiter—Expansion, Growth & Lucky Breaks (For Those Prepared To Receive)
Jupiter spends around one year in each sign, the perfect amount of time to commit to something in terms of personal growth and learning. Jupiter transits can feel like getting amped up by inspiration to voraciously consume something that suddenly piques your interest. Honestly, it’s hard to ignore whatever Jupiter is making bigger—for better or worse. Knowing where in the sky (as well as the house in your personal chart) it’s transiting is a huge advantage for preparing to receive the benefits and lucky breaks that come with each Jupiter cycle—as well as a way to combat an overblown ego disappointment if it’s not connected to the area of life you’re wanting to see growth. More on this later.
Saturn—Responsibility, Slow Growth, Delays & Blocks That Test Your Fortitude (Rerouting & Trimming Excess Until You’re In Alignment)
Saturn spends about two and a half years in a sign, making sure the foundation is laid and structures are built to withstand Jupiter’s expansion. This is why (and of course retrogrades play a factor here too) it can feel like one step forward, two steps back. Saturn will make sure you are prepared to receive, and although challenging, it does reward your efforts. Together, the social planets are our system of cosmic checks and balances regarding the ways you expand as well as build.
Observing Patterns In Social Media, Digital Products & Learning Resources
I’ve noticed over the past several years the trends that become the content we consume and the courses being sold are heavily influenced by Jupiter and Saturn. It’s undeniable that the theme of 2026 has been visibility and being seen—hello Jupiter in Leo! Jupiter expands everything it touches, so of course this is the boom of yap challenges, visibility courses, be seen challenges, etc, etc. With Saturn in Aries, the sign of the self, the initiator, the leader and the brave ruler of the first house in astrology—the current Saturn theme of hard work and perseverance to build something that is in service to your public image and putting yourself out there is perfectly timed with this Jupiter transit.
Let’s talk about imposter syndrome or feeling late to the party. Even though it looks like everyone’s already doing it or you’re afraid to get out there on the dance floor with everybody else, don’t let either of those fears hold you back. This really is the time. You will continue to see folks hopping on this bandwagon for the next 6-8 months. As the transit continues it will speed up then move into refinement. Those who are already in the flow of it will learn what’s working and begin to get more insight on where it’s actually taking them and how they can leverage it.
A Look Back At Previous Social Planet Cycles
Let’s look at mid 2024 when Jupiter shifted from stable, steady Taurus into communication focused Gemini, that’s when Instagram really changed into something a lot of us didn’t recognize anymore. Tried and true content strategies that had been working suddenly stopped. I noticed the expansion was around people complaining about algorithms that once supported their growth now tanking reach and hiding content—a shadow side of Jupiter’s expansive energy. Gemini is a mutable sign, meaning it transforms to meet evolving needs and challenges—in this case the challenge was Saturn in Pisces (also mutable) washing away the structures and stability that once held creators. So Jupiter in Gemini, the sign of communication and duality gave us both the complaining creator that was fighting Saturn’s dissolving stability and the new creator that was open and willing to change—and embracing AI to do the heavy lifting. A lot of us also decided to switch platforms to avoid the AI deluge that is impossible to compete with, while others decided it was time to learn new skills and even more began to share the things they were creating that had previously been niche hobbies that didn’t seem to fit with the neatly curated feeds of yore.
Around mid 2025 when Jupiter moved into Cancer the big social media trend gaining traction—and this one I loved with my whole heart, was storytelling through photos and text. Instagram carousel posts reigned supreme, a nostalgic dip back into the original purpose of the app and the first time photos were outperforming reels in several years. Jupiter in Cancer expanded seeking comfort and building trust between creators and their audiences as a vehicle to build followers, sell courses, products and establish authority. When Saturn moved into Aries the challenge shifted from grieving dissolving structures to looking at ways of supporting our nervous systems was the solution to dissolution. As well as the answer to how to handle digital burnout, overstimulation, and managing identity shifting. It was suddenly everywhere that nervous system regulation and somatic embodiment was the missing piece for growth and the most important skill for building your dream life, and some very clever foreshadowing about laying the foundation to do the visibility work when Jupiter moved into Leo.
Pay attention to how this movement shifts to support the visibility growth over the next year when Jupiter in Virgo themes of transmuting perfectionist tendencies into becoming your own gardner, pruning away the excess to refine and optimize how you run your business, manage your schedule and (maybe finally) getting organized begin to trickle into your subconscious, planting the seeds of new growth themes. Saturn will remain in Aries in 2027, so this shift from Leo to Virgo energy will feel like the natural progression of whatever it is you are personally building rather than a pivot.
Taking The Social And Making It Personal
Each year reveals a new peace of the collective puzzle that won’t ever be fully solved, but you can work with Jupiter and Saturn Cycles to prepare for lasting growth and abundance.
People want things right away and they want to know why it’s not happening and how to hack the system. As an astrologer, it’s never easy to tell someone who wants to make finding a romantic partner their entire mission that their energy would be much better spent on a different area of life that will prepare them for partnership rather than repeating karmic cycles or to tell a budding entrepreneur that instead of immediately launching programs it would be more fruitful in the long run to spend a year learning to build systems while also healing their visibility wounds rather than pitching to an audience of none and retreating further into self-doubt. In my work with students and clients over the years I always look at Jupiter and Saturn both natal and by transit to see where to focus your energy each year and what gifts you already have to do so, especially when the current astrology doesn’t fully support someone’s immediate desires.
Tips For Working With Social Planets For Personal Growth & Social Media Expansion & Building
-
Identify your natal Jupiter sign, bonus points for understanding the house it resides in. Your natal Jupiter sign is the place you naturally expand in, this is the area that grows when you feed it—be very mindful what you are feeding it! For example, my natal Jupiter in Scorpio is in my 1st house, the house of the self. When I’m focused on personal growth, pushing my own limits of what is possible, and making transformation a priority I make quantum leaps in life. On the other hand, the times when I’ve ignored the call to change, whether that was opting for autopilot mode or clinging tightly to a comfort zone I’d clearly outgrown I’ve gained weight because I was eating my feelings rather than facing the discomfort of embracing a death and rebirth cycle. Transformational growth is a main theme of Jupiter in Scorpio, there is no escaping it. Figure out yours and let it guide how you approach growth instead of following anyone else’s strategy.

Identify your natal Saturn sign, again, bonus points for understanding the house it lives in. Your natal Saturn sign is how you build structure and maturity, the house tells you the area of life you’re meant to build something long lasting (so please don’t be discouraged or feel like a late bloomer, your Saturn house is where you age like fine wine!) My natal Saturn is in Libra, the sign of balance, harmony, and partnership and it lives in my twelfth house. Many things in the twelfth house are hidden from us, especially before our first Saturn Return. Needless to say, my early years were a mixture of feeling subconsciously responsible for everyone’s feelings and being unable to take responsibility for myself. Let’s just say college was the rudest awakening…I was not prepared to feed myself, clean up after myself and doing laundry was always a fiasco—despite growing up with strict parents that pushed me to be independent. My Libra Saturn felt compelled to caretake the subconscious needs of every partnership while also expecting my partners to do the real work of caretaking my physical needs. This revealed a karmic need to build resiliency and energetic boundaries. If only someone would have explained that to me at 20! Finding your Saturn sign will give you your blueprint for creating energetic and physical structure in your life to support your big goals and dreams.
Putting It All Together
